I. Attaching Awning Rail, Cleat and
Porcelain ring
A. Anchor Awning rail to solid
surface with 10 x 1 tapping screws. Spacing screws
apart 16 " - 18".
B. Anchor straps and rings with 10
x 1 screws approximately 2" above awning rail. Begin by
mounting the first ring on far left or right side of rail in
which you plan to operate the curtain. Anchor remaining
rings (one) approx. 18"-24" in from each side of
curtain.
C. Anchor cleat with 10 x 1 screws
(approx. chest high for easy operation) to solid surface
located on operating side of curtain.
II. Running Rope
A. Begin running rope @ opposite
side of operation. Tie knot in tag end (loose end) of rope.
Thread 10 x 1 screw thru knot and anchor to bottom flange of
awning rail or solid surface just below rail. Screw should be
located straight below porcelain rings.
B. Allow enough rope to go down the
length of the curtain and back up to the ring. Continue
running rope thru remaining rings till you reach the cleat
area.
C. Pull slack from rope. Cut rope
off approx 12" below cleat. With lighter slightly melt tag end
of rope to prevent fraying. Repeat for next ring. (See
Diagram)
III. Attaching
Curtain
A. Slide top of curtain into awning
rail. Make sure you have one rope on front side of curtain and
one rope (tag end) on backside of curtain. To prevent curtain
from shifting, on each end of rail screw (8 x ½ tapping
screws) thru awning rail and curtain into pvc
tubing.

function as part of the tie down kit.
C. Locate additional Screw eyes for
tie down kit approx. 4"-6" down from screw eye in end of
2 x 2 board.
D. Run rope thru one screw
eye. Secure by tieing loop in rope. Bring tag end thru
loop and cinch down taught. Tie slip knot to secure rope and
curtain.

Shade
1. For shades to operate properly,
brackets must be level. Check to see if the surface on which the
shades will be mounted is level; if not, shim the brackets to make
them as level as possible. This step is crucial to the final product.
(On non-level surfaces the shade fabric will tend to telescope on
the tube. If you are experiencing this, shim the tube with a
little tape on the side appearing lower.
2. The RS-10 brackets have locking
inserts to easily mount your shade. Take the brackets (D,C) and
install them with screws to a solid surface.
3. Unclip the inserts in the
brackets.
4. Set the tube into the inserts and clip
back into brackets.
5. Completely tighten the screws and make
sure your shade is secure. Check to see if shade is
level.
6. Run shade to check that fabric is level and no further
adjustments are needed.
